Italy, the Mediterranean, the invitation to travel

Last year, the exhibition “Les Journèes de l’art-bre” focused for the first time on the themes of authors of a single country. A delegation of Slovak artists was welcomed in the enchanting park of Cap Martin, perhaps opening a series of tributes to the nation and especially to the men who make up its identities. In 2017, Italy will be the starting point for an artistic journey through the olive-tree paths. Italy, a country with strong roots and varied landscapes. But above all a proud people, a little eccentric but so adorable. A paradox between tradition and freedom, which for centuries has led Italians to seek fortune in every corner of the planet, while still maintaining a visceral attachment to their origins.
More than a tribute to Italian artists, it will be the scent of a certain spirit of Italy that will move to the Parc du Cap Martin. The originality, the imagination, the creativity, the taste of novelty … the passion will be the common denominators of artists who will be welcomed in the scenario of Cap Martin authors of sculpture, photography and painting. The Italian artists Paolo Colombini Nicola Ciaccia and Antonio Nocera, will join the compatriot Vinicio Momoli, The photos of Nikos Aliagas will stretch a thread of Ariadne between the olive trees of Greece and those of Cap Martin. The Mediterranean will still be present through mythology, inviting “Daedalus” to settle among the works of Cap Martin. The animals of Stephane Bolongaro will spread humor and imagination in the paths of the Park. Finally, with a taste of the world’s borders, the images of Michel Rawicki will awaken our senses.
